Your "Low Voltage" wiring infrastructure handles your home communications and entertainment and includes the cabling systems required for telephone and data communications, video, audio, doorbell or Intercom system, and any special communications such as surveillance and/or security systems. 

 

To "smart wire" is to install whatever low voltage distribution cabling you need now or in the foreseeable future from a central and accessible location, just like your electrical wiring is centralized in & out of your breaker panel.  We use RG6 3.0Ghz or greater Pure Copper Core Quad Shield for incoming video service feeds, Cat6 or better for digital video distribution, phone and/or data infrastructure, and 14AWG CL3 for speaker wiring.  Wireless can be nice.  But, RF is prone to interference.  The simple fact of the matter is that WIRED IS FASTER and MORE RELIABLE than wireless! 

 

During construction, this "low voltage" wiring costs a fraction of your electrical infrastructure.  When building or remodeling, put some serious effort into your home's low voltage wiring infrastructure.
